Teak Quarter Cut# 760 raw wood veneer composite 1/42″ approximate thickness. Composite wood veneer is also called recon or reconstituted engineered wood. It is made of real wood in a process of dyeing and cutting so that each sheet will be consistent clean and free of natural defects found in natural grown unprocessed woods. Like any other veneer except that staining could be affected by the dye of some woods. Otherwise, clear finish is great and the lighter colored woods will stain well. This is not necessarily a less expensive option, but more of a design option. Projects that require consistent, uniform grain and color are ideal. These are very popular products and will be consistent from sheet to sheet and order to order. The pictures will be accurate representation of the product. Some photos may show other sizes, customer projects and wet or finished veneer. The product is unfinished raw wood with no backing. Some minor repairable cracks may occur from time to time but should mend well when laminated. This product will not have any seams, which is another desirable trait. Ships rolled in corrugated flute with end caps. Generally laminated with wood glues or any other adhesive process that works with raw wood. Contact cement not recommended. Grain runs longer direction.
